Shahid Kapoor a 22 years old hero who's just few film old in the industry but has offers from Boney Kapoor, Nitin Manmohan and Abbas Mustan. He has achieved all this on his own, though he has film family tag. His father is Pankaj Kapoor and mother is Neelima Azim. Shahid has inherited from his parents great acting talent. He had never told his parents that he wanted to be an actor before signing his first film.
Shahid Kapoor debut film was Ishq Vishk Pyaar Vyaar in 2003. It was a hit. He got the "Hero Cycles stardust Award" and "Film Fare" for the best New Comer of the year 2003. When he went for the audition of Ishq Vishk ... for the first time he was rejected because he looks too young. Then Ken Ghosh saw him a years later in a public place, he was completely changed. Ken asked him to come again for audition and their he was selected.
After the release of Ishq Vishk ... he wasn't offered any other films for few months though his film done well and his acting is also appreciated. Actually producers and directors had no subjects for a 22 years old guy. Then people started writing subjects for him and he started getting lots of offers. His debut film Ishq Vishk was a success. He received the Filmfare Award 2003 in the Debut category for his performance along with the same award from the Star Screen Awards and the Zee Cine Awards. In 2004, he starred in two more films: Fida, a thriller co-starring his current girlfriend Kareena Kapoor and Fardeen Khan as well as Dil Maange More, a romantic comedy alongside Soha Ali Khan, Tulip Joshi, and Ayesha Takia. Both films bombed at the box ffice, but Kapoor received positive reviews for his performances. His latest films Vaah! Life Ho To Aisi, Deewane Huye Pagal, and Shikhar failed to do well at the box office but his performances was praised. He received a Screen Best Actor Nomination for his work in Shikhar In 2006, Shahid recieved his first box office success since his debut with the multi-starrer, 36 China Town. Despite, mixed reviews the comic-thriller became an average success . Shortly after the release of 36 China Town, Shahid's film, Chup Chup Ke released.
In the summer of 2006, Shahid embarked on a World Tour along with fellow Bollywood stars, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, John Abraham, Esha Deol, Mallika Sherawat, and Zayed Khan.
He will next be seen in 2006 in the films Milenge Milenge with Kareena Kapoor, Vivaah with Amrita Rao, and Fool and Final with Ayesha Takia.
Shahid might consider himself below par compared to his father but he certainly seems at top with other top stars. Stories are their that he's asking for a crore. But shahid deny's. He says, "he is getting what he is quoting as his film done well and people liked his work but not such a big amount like crore".
These days Shahid and Kareena Kapoor are seen together lot of time spending with each other either on or off the sets. Kareena is also seen keen to know about shahid's family. She likes her mother, his younger brother and even shahid's dog. At Kareena sister's wedding Shahid was a very special looked after guest. But shahid codes "That is only professional relationship.
