Bikram Saluja came to news first when he won the Graviera Man of the Year (1994). Modeling came as the next obvious step. From there he went on to doing videos including Bali Brahmbhatt's Tere Bin Jeena Nahin with Anupama Verma and later with Asha Bhonsle (Parde Mein Rehno Do). After having performed in platform plays like Vasavadatta, Karmbhumi and Kiski Biwi Kiska Shohar, Bikram busied himself preparing for the big screen.

He made his screen debut with Khalid Mohammad's Fiza; where he played a guy besotted with Karisma Kapoor (Fiza), who couldn’t see beyond his obsession for her. Bikram was then seen in LOC Kargil and Sanjay Gupta’s Plan. And then came a short cameo with Madhur Bhandarkar’s Page 3, where he played a nonchalant industry actor.
